Mrs. Johnson, a Reno native and graduate of Reno High School, pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Oregon. She ventured into the high-tech industry in the Bay Area before returning to Reno, where she married and raised two boys. Prior to her tenure at Brookfield School in 1999, she worked as a Land Planner in the Civil Engineering Company. Both her sons have completed their education—one from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), and the other from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Notably, due to COVID, one of her sons has recently relocated to Reno and is now employed at Brookfield School.
In expressing her perspective on education, Mrs. Johnson firmly believes it stands as one of the most fulfilling vocations, particularly within the framework of the family-owned and women-operated Brookfield School. Mrs. Johnson articulated, “I feel education to be among the most rewarding professions.”
Away from her professional pursuits, Mrs. Johnson finds solace in sailing aboard their ocean-going 46’ sailboat, presently stationed in the San Francisco Bay. Her sailing adventures have taken her to various destinations: four years in Mexico, a summer in Alaska in 2018, three years in Canada, including visits to the Islands of Haida Gwaii and Vancouver Island’s west shore in 2017. These journeys offered encounters with diverse wildlife like bears, wolves, orcas, and even witnessing whales up close alongside their boat. Fishing, crabbing, and catching prawns are among the activities enjoyed during these excursions. Additionally, she engages in SCUBA diving off the boat, expressing a fondness for SCUBA diving, snorkeling, skiing, hiking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), camping, geocaching, and of course, sailing.

Mrs. Dorey is the Director of Brookfield School. She is a fifth-generation Nevadan. She is the daughter of Director of Operations, Karyn Murray, and the niece of Director of Finance, Katie Osgood- Johnson. Mrs. Dorey is married to a wonderful man. We are raising three strong sixth-generation Nevadan daughters, Gwenyth, Margaret, and Vivienne. She has two dogs, Dennis and Whiskey.
Mrs. Dorey has been in education since 2006. She started in Early Childhood at TLC before moving to Boise to complete her bachelor's degree. Mrs. Dorey received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Boise State University. She completed her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Kansas this fall.
Mrs. Dorey is proud to be leading a local, family-run, woman-led business. Mrs. Dorey brings a positive attitude, an open mind, and high expectations to the schools. She feels students, families, and staff thrive with consistency, diligence, and love.
In her free time, Mrs. Dorey enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, camping, and adventures with her family.

For the past three school years, Amber has served as the Admissions and Marketing Coordinator at Brookfield School, where her passion for education and her keen marketing acumen have combined to create lasting impressions.

Outside of her professional life, Amber finds joy and fulfillment in her personal endeavors. She shares her life with her loving husband, Carson, who has been her steadfast partner in all of life's adventures. Together, they have created a warm and loving home in the bustling city of Reno.

Mrs. Lock is a Pre-First teacher at Brookfield School. She is originally from the rolling hills of Tennessee where her mother instilled a love of education and young children through her long career in the field. Mrs. Lock married her incredible husband, Patrick, in 2019 then welcomed her first child, William, in the summer of 2020.
Mrs. Lock has been in early education since 2011 and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development in 2016. Mrs. Lock is a strong advocate that students should feel safe, heard and loved in all educational environments to nurture a positive relationship with learning.
In her free time, Mrs. Lock enjoys collecting house plants, playing trucks with Will and escaping to the ocean or the Redwoods whenever possible.
